All future instructions in this guide will refer to this directory as your “Vampire directory”. The mod installer will do it’s best to figure this out for you automatically, but it’s helpful if you know. To install CQM, you need to know the location of this directory. When you install “Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines” it copies the game files to your computer, usually somewhere under the C:\Program Files\ directory, but it varies on your individual installation and whether you play the game on Good Old Games, Steam or you’re using the original CDs.

The installer will create a mod directory that contains all the files for CQM. It will also give you a menu to decide which additional mods you want to install along with CQM. This will do it’s very best to find your Vampire directory and install the mod there. If you’ve ever installed any Bloodlines mods in the past, you first need to reinstall Vampire, making sure to delete any files left over by the previously installed mods. Failing to do so will still run the game, but without the CQM mod.

Mods for Vampire are generally not cross-compatible so installing one mod on over another will most likely result in problems while playing the game.
